Asia Cup 2022 - All teams squad and fixtures

Sri Lanka will host the Asia Cup 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.15th edition of this tournament will be played between 6 Asian countries which include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh. Following the qualifier, one additional team will be promoted into the tournament. UAE , Kuwait, Hong Kong and Singapore will contest in the qualifying phase. 

Asia Cup 2022 will be telecasted on the Star Sports network in India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. PTV Sports and Ten Sports will telecast matches in Pakistan. Gazi TV (GTV) will telecast in Bangladesh.


Sri Lanka Squad:

Sri Lanka has announced a 20-men squad led by Shanaka and Aslanka as his deputy. Dinesh Chandimal and Rajapaksha was also named in the squad along with Debutant Matheesha Pathirana. Sri Lanka was scheduled to play their opening match against Afghanistan in Dubai on 27th August. 

Dasun Shanaka (captain), Charith Asalanka (vice captain), Dhanushka Gunathilaka, Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Bhanuka Rajapaksha (wk), Dinesh Chandhimal (wk), Ashen Bandara, Dhananjaya de Silva, Wanidu Hasaranga, Mahesh Theekshana, Jeffery Vandersay, Praveen Jayawickrenna, Dushmantha Chameera, Binura Fernando, Chamika Karunaratne, Dilshan Madushanka, Matheesha Pathirana, Nuwanindu Fernando, Kasun Rajitha

Afghanistan Squad:

Afghanistan has announced a 17-men squad led by Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah as his deputy. Samiullah Shinwari has been recalled to the T20 side who played his last International match in March 2020. Afghanistan was scheduled to play their opening match against Sri Lanka in Dubai on 27th August. Along with 17-men Nijat Masoud, Qais Ahmad, and Sharafuddin Ashraf will travel as reserves.

Mohammad Nabi (captain), Najibullah Zadran (vice captain), Afsar Zazai (wk), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Azmatullah Omarzai, Farid Ahmad Malik, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Hazratullah Zazai, Ibrahim Zadran, Karim Janat, Mujib ur Rahman, Usman Ghani, Naveen ul Haq, Noor Ahmad, Rashid Khan and Samiullah Shinwari.

Pakistan Squad:

Pakistan announced 15-men squad led by Babar Azam and Shadab Khan will be his deputy. This team will be without star pacer Shaheen Afridi, who is out of the tournament due to a ligament tear in his right knee. Mohammad Hasnain has been recalled as the replacement for injured Shaheen Afridi. Pakistan was scheduled to play their opening match against India in Dubai on 28th August.

Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Naseem Shah, Shahnawaz Dahani, Mohammad Hasnain, and Usman Qadir.
