Cricket Shawn Flegler, National Selector and Head of Performance for Women's Cricket in Australia, stated:
We have a very solid and well-balanced team as a result of having our whole contract list available for selection ahead of a World Cup for the first time in a long time.
"It's exciting for Alyssa Healy and Tahlia McGrath to have this opportunity to lead their country on the biggest stage, especially since it's the first time they'll be in charge at a World Cup and we've already seen what they bring from a leadership perspective."
"In her first World Cup, Phoebe Litchfield is a real x-factor for us and will have a strong group behind her."
We've been wanting to unleash Tayla Vlaeminck and Darcie Brown's pace duo for a while now, and they really make a difference for us.
"Jess Jonassen is unfortunate to miss out once more, but we're impressed with how she's recovered, and we'll keep an eye on her performance before the home summer."
When Australia plays New Zealand live, fans can follow all the action on ABC Radio, Seven Network, 7Plus, Fox Cricket, and Kayo Sports.
Starting on October 3, the ICC Women's T20 World Cup will be available exclusively and live on Prime Video.
