The 13-player team for the CommBank Women's ODI series against India and the CommBank Tour of New Zealand was announced today by the Cricket Australia National Selection Panel (NSP).

Due to a knee injury, captain Alyssa Healy will miss the India series, while Georgia Voll, a batter for the Sydney Thunder and Queensland, has been added to her debut Australia team.

Voll is among the top three run scorers in the Weber WBBL and Women's National Cricket League after having an outstanding summer batting start. In both competitions, the 21-year-old has amassed four half-centuries, including 98, 97, and 92.

In Healy's absence, Tahlia McGrath will captain, and Ashleigh Gardner will serve as her deputy.

From December 5–11 in Brisbane and Perth, Australia will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against India. From December 19–23 in Wellington, they will play three ODIs versus T20 world champions New Zealand.

The ICC Women's Championship consists of all six games, and Australia is presently leading the rankings.

Cricket Shawn Flegler, Australia's national selector and head of performance for women's cricket, stated:

"We have selected a seasoned team for these two forthcoming trips, with a strong emphasis on the ICC Women's World Cup and the Ashes series next year.

Georgia Voll has demonstrated her promise over the past few years and has had a great start to the summer.

"She will have a fantastic opportunity to experience international cricket against a formidable India team, forming an intriguing partnership at the top of the order with Phoebe Litchfield.

Alyssa Healy's decision to skip the India series was made with the Ashes in mind, and it will become more apparent in the coming weeks whether or not she can play in the New Zealand series.

"Ash Gardner, who has grown into a capable leader within the team both on and off the field, will provide Tahlia McGrath with solid backing after she excelled as captain at the World Cup despite challenging circumstances.

"We're in for some exciting cricket throughout both series because India is a very dangerous team and New Zealand will be pumped after winning the World Cup."

Australian Women's Team Physiotherapist Kate Beerworth made the following statement regarding Sophie Molineux and Darcie Brown's injuries sustained at the WBBL:

"Sophie has resumed playing after experiencing knee pain, which will be treated throughout the summer.

"Darcie is on track for both series after returning to training after a hip muscle strain."

Beerworth made the following statement regarding Tayla Vlaeminck's shoulder injury:

"Tayla is out for the rest of the 2024–2025 season after undergoing surgery last week to stabilize her right shoulder."
