Australia has named their team for the upcoming one-day international series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand. While speedster Pat Cummins has been rested, specialist spinner Adam Zampa has been included in the white-ball team. Aaron Finch will captain Australia's 14-man side against Zimbabwe in the series, which begins on August 28 at Riverway Stadium.
The squad is nearly complete, with just Test captain Pat Cummins missed as he remains to be "managed through a period of rehabilitation and physical preparation for the next summer."
Mitchell Swepson, Josh Inglis, Jhye Richardson, and Matthew Kuhnemann, who last played for Australia against Sri Lanka, were dropped from the squad. Likewise, Ashton Agar, who missed the final four ODIs of the Sri Lanka series due to a side strain, and Sean Abbott, who fractured his finger in the nets on the night of the first T20I, will return to action. Travis Head will also miss both series due to the birth of his first child, while Marcus Stoinis returns after recovering early from Sri Lanka with a side injury.
