Bangladesh stuns South Africa in the first match of the tour, kicking off their campaign on a high note. Bangladesh ended their losing streak in South Africa by defeating the hosts for the first time in their own home, after recently defeating New Zealand in New Zealand for the first time in their history.

After setting South Africa a target of 315, Bangladesh was clearly the favorite halfway through the match.
