For instance, the WBBL trade window is scheduled from December 2-11, while the BBL window runs from January 28 to February 6.

However, clubs are restricted from re-signing their own players during this period, ensuring a fair and competitive environment.​

Clubs are mandated to adhere to specific squad sizes, with BBL teams allowed a maximum of 18 domestic players and WBBL teams up to 15. A notable new regulation requires WBBL clubs to reserve a spot for a domestic player emerging from the T20 Spring Challenge competition.
