Bryan Stronach Steps Down as NZC High-Performance Chief

NZC Bids Farewell to a Key Architect of Success

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) is set to witness a major transition as Bryan Stronach, the man behind the country's high-performance success, has announced his decision to step down from his full-time role. After years of shaping NZC’s development system, Stronach will be moving on to a new opportunity with "In Your Corner," a leadership and team development business. However, he will continue to offer his expertise to NZC on a consultancy basis, ensuring a smooth transition.

NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink hailed Stronach as an unsung hero, playing a pivotal role in New Zealand’s cricketing rise over the past decade. Under his leadership, NZC’s high-performance structure flourished, contributing to significant milestones, including the BLACKCAPS’ ICC tournament finals appearances and their historic World Test Championship victory. The WHITE FERNS' ICC T20 World Cup triumph in the Caribbean was another highlight of his tenure.

Stronach, who began his journey with NZC in 2007 as a strength and conditioning coordinator, has led the high-performance unit since 2014. Reflecting on his journey, he emphasized the collective effort behind New Zealand’s cricketing success, expressing confidence that his successor and existing team will take the game to greater heights.

As NZC initiates the recruitment process for his replacement, Stronach's legacy of excellence in player and system development remains a benchmark. His transition to a consultancy role ensures that his wealth of experience will not be lost, keeping New Zealand’s cricketing framework robust for the future.
