Central Delhi Kings defeated Purani Dilli 6 by 109 runs in the Delhi Premier League T20.
New Delhi, August 23, 2024: In the ongoing Adani Delhi Premier League T20 on Friday, Central Delhi Kings defeated Purani Dilli 6 by 109 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Opening the innings were Aprit Rana and Manjeet, chasing a target of 218. The team did not start as they had hoped when Money Grewal ejected Arpit Rana for a duck. The bowling attack of the Central Delhi Kings was excellent.

Shivam Sharma scored the most runs for Purani Dilli 6 with 36, which included one six and five boundaries. In addition to Shivam, Sanat made 33 runs off just 18 balls.
Sumit Kumar, who picked 4/22, was the bowler of choice for Central Delhi Kings. In the meantime, Jonty Sidhu took 3/8 and Money Grewal won 3/28. In 12.1 overs, Purani Dilli 6 were bowled out for 108.

Purani Dilli 6 chose to bowl first after winning the toss earlier in the day. Yash Dhull and Dhruv Kaushik opened the innings for Central Delhi Kings. Dhruv Kaushik took the opposition's bowling attack head-on, and the team got off to a great start. Purani Dilli 6 responded, though, when Manjeet got Yash Dhull out of the game. Dhruv, on the other hand, maintained his excellent form and kept the scoreboard moving.

At the end of the powerplay, Dhruv's explosive 38 runs off 19 balls, which featured two boundaries and three sixes, enabled the Central Delhi Kings reach 67/2. Aayush Singh Thakur sent Dhruv back to the pavilion shortly after the powerplay.

After that, Hiten Dalal and Captain Jonty Sidhu partnered for 29 runs, which allowed them to put up a big total on the scoreboard. Manjeet then removed Hiten after Shivam Sharma made a superb grab in the cover area. Jonty and Aryan Rana assumed the task of contributing a substantial amount. In 13.3 overs, Central Delhi Kings reached 150.

The Central Delhi Kings were coasting to a large total when Jonty and Aryan Rana began finding the holes with ease. In just 21 deliveries, Jonty scored his half-century, which included three boundaries and four enormous sixes. Aryan was there to support him all the way. Jonty's explosive innings came to an end when Laxman got rid of him after 50 runs. 

Aryan maintained his rhythm, hitting five boundaries and three sixes en route to his half-century in 27 balls. Purani Dilli 6 re-entered the game towards the conclusion of the innings with three quick wickets. At 75 off 38 balls, Aryan Rana was still not out. After 20 overs, Central Delhi Kings amassed an enormous total of 217/7.

Prince Yadav was the most effective bowler for Purani Dilli 6, taking 33.7 wickets to Manjeet's 2/35, Laxman's and Aayush Singh Thakur's one wicket each. Prince Yadav made history by becoming the first bowler to score a hat-trick in the Delhi Premier League T20.
