CSA Announces Home Schedule for 2025/26 International Season
Johannesburg, March 20, 2025
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has officially released the home schedule for the 2025/26 international season, headlined by the Proteas Women hosting Ireland and Pakistan in white-ball series, and the Proteas Men clashing with West Indies in a five-match T20I series ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
Proteas Women Set for Key White-Ball Series
South Africa’s women’s team will welcome Ireland from December 5-19, 2025, for a three-match T20I and ODI series. Pakistan will then tour South Africa from February 10 - March 1, 2026, marking the start of the new ICC Women’s Championship cycle leading up to the 2029 World Cup. Key venues include World Sports Betting Newlands, Dafabet St George’s Park, DP World Wanderers Stadium, and Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, which will once again host the Black Day ODI on March 1, 2026.
Proteas Men Prepare for T20 World Cup with West Indies Series
Aiden Markram’s South African side will face West Indies in a five-match T20I series from January 27 - February 6, 2026. The series will serve as crucial preparation ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Matches will be played across Paarl, Cape Town, East London, Centurion, and Johannesburg.
South Africa ‘A’ and U19 Fixtures Confirmed
South Africa ‘A’ will host New Zealand ‘A’ in three one-day matches (August 30 - September 4) and two four-day matches (September 7-17) in Pretoria and Potchefstroom. Meanwhile, the SA U19 Men’s team will continue their preparations for the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 with a three-match Youth ODI series against Bangladesh from July 17-22 in Benoni.
CSA CEO Highlights Busy Season Ahead
CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki expressed his excitement about the upcoming season:
“We are looking forward to seeing our women’s team take on Ireland and Pakistan. These series will provide great competition and offer our fans an opportunity to support the Proteas Women at home.
“Our international window for men’s cricket is shorter this season due to outbound tours to Australia, England, Pakistan, and India between August and December. However, the Betway SA20 will take place before the T20I series against West Indies, allowing our players valuable game time ahead of the T20 World Cup.”
Moseki also emphasized CSA’s commitment to development, stating, “We are pleased to be hosting national development tours, with the South Africa ‘A’ and U19 series playing a vital role in strengthening our talent pipeline.”
Ticketing details for all matches will be announced in due course.
