LSG Post a Power-Packed 209, But It Proves Just Short

After being put in to bat by Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants posted a commanding 209 for 8 in their 20 overs. Mitchell Starc stood out with the ball for Delhi, picking up three wickets and showing why he remains a lethal force in T20s. Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with two, breaking crucial partnerships just when LSG looked set for an even bigger total. Vipraj Nigam also picked up a wicket and showed glimpses of his potential.

Ashutosh Sharma, at the other end, matched his intensity. Calm and calculating, he held his nerve even as wickets kept falling around him. When Kuldeep Yadav was run out in the 19th over, DC were nine down, needing 18 off 9 balls. Every ball from that point was pure tension.

Needing six runs off the final over with just one wicket in hand, DC faced Shahbaz Ahmed, who hadn’t bowled all innings until then.
