Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy Inks Landmark Partnership

The Delhi Capitals Saj Mahmood Cricket Academy is a partnership between the Delhi Capitals and former England cricketer Sajid Mahmood that will open two cricket academies in the United Kingdom at Farringtons School and William Perkin CofE High School, respectively.

The association's goal is to find and develop new players and assist in improving and enhancing their cricketing talents. This is the first time an IPL club has partnered with a former international player.

"With this partnership with Saj and his academy, we are very excited to expand the Delhi Capitals footprint to the UK," stated Sunil Gupta, CEO of the Delhi Capitals. Our goal at Delhi Capitals is to provide aspiring cricket players with the greatest opportunity and platform to enable them fulfill their dream of playing at the top level of professional cricket. We are genuinely excited about this inning.

The academy's ECB-certified coaching staff will assist us in caring for the learners. As the first IPL team to launch two academies simultaneously, this is a revolutionary initiative. The first session of the academy is planned for January 12, 2025, with a trial session on November 24, 2024.
