ILT20 Season 3 Awards: Curran, Hope, Farooqi & Waseem Take Top Honors
The DP World ILT20 Season 3 came to a thrilling conclusion as the Dubai Capitals clinched their maiden title with a stunning four-wicket victory over the Desert Vipers in the final at the Dubai International Stadium. While the Capitals lifted the trophy and took home the USD 700,000 prize, the tournament also celebrated its standout performers with its signature Red, Green, White, and Blue Belts, each carrying a USD 15,000 reward.
From Shai Hope’s batting masterclass to Sam Curran’s all-round brilliance, here’s a look at the ILT20’s biggest stars this season.
Red Belt – Most Valuable Player: Sam Curran (DTV)
Desert Vipers’ Sam Curran proved to be the ultimate all-rounder in ILT20 Season 3, finishing as the Most Valuable Player (MVP). His final match heroics an unbeaten 62 runs and the crucial wicket of Shai Hope underlined his immense value to the team.

Curran edged past Dubai Capitals’ Gulbadin Naib, who had an equally impactful season with 381 runs, four fifties, and 11 wickets.

Dubai Capitals’ Shai Hope emerged as the best batter, claiming the Green Belt after overtaking Tom Banton on the final day. His crucial 43-run knock in the final helped him reach 527 runs at an average of 58.55, surpassing Banton’s 493 runs.

Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqi continued his dominance in the tournament, winning the White Belt for the leading wicket-taker. The MI Emirates pacer bagged 21 wickets in 11 matches, including the best-ever bowling figures in ILT20 history 5/16 against Dubai Capitals.

AE Blue Belt – Best UAE Player: Muhammad Waseem (MIE)
For the third consecutive season, MI Emirates’ Muhammad Waseem dominated the UAE players' category, winning the Blue Belt.
