A 16-man squad has been selected by the England Men's selection panel for the three-match Test tour of New Zealand in November and December.
Men's Test Team for England:

Gus Atkinson (Surrey)
Shoaib Bashir (Somerset)
Jacob Bethell (Warwickshire)
Harry Brook (Yorkshire)
Brydon Carse (Durham)
Jordan Cox (Essex)
Zak Crawley (Kent)
Ben Duckett (Nottinghamshire)

Joe Root (Yorkshire)
Olly Stone (Nottinghamshire)
Chris Woakes (Warwickshire)
One player from the recent series in Pakistan has been picked up for the first time in a Test squad: Jacob Bethell, a batting all-rounder for Warwickshire. This summer, the 21-year-old, a slow left-arm orthodox spinner and attacking left-handed hitter, made his England white-ball debut against Australia in both IT20 and ODI formats. After their matches against the West Indies, Bethell, Rehan Ahmed, and Jordan Cox—who are presently with the England white-ball team in the Caribbean—will join the Test team.
Cox will take over wicketkeeping responsibilities and have the chance to earn his first Test cap, as wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith will miss the tour due to paternity leave for the birth of his first child.
On Thursday, November 28, the Test series will get underway at Christchurch's Hagley Oval.
