England Mens White Ball Captain Ruled Out of Vitality IT20s Against Australia

Vitality IT20s: England Men's White-Ball Captain Disqualified Against Australia

Jos Buttler, the captain of the England Men's white-ball team, will not play in the forthcoming Vitality IT20 series against Australia because of a right calf injury. His ability to play in the Metro Bank ODIs later this month is also in doubt due to this ailment.

Jamie Overton, an all-rounder from Surrey, has been called up to the T20 squad as a replacement. Next week, on September 11, 2024, at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton, the three-match IT20 series is scheduled to get underway.

The ODI team has also included Essex batsman Jordan Cox as cover. The five-match ODI series is set to begin at Trent Bridge on September 19.

Phil Salt of Lancashire, who captained the Manchester Originals in The Hundred this season, will skipper the T20 team in Buttler's absence.
