Surrey seamer Jamie Overton has been called up for England's third and final Test against New Zealand, which begins on June 23 at Headingley. The 28-year-old, who will be accompanied in the team with his twin brother Craig Overton, has been in outstanding form for top team Surrey this season, taking 21 wickets at an average of 21.61. Jamie has taken 206 wickets in 81 first-class matches, including five 5-fers. In 2015, the fast bowler was called up to the England ODI team against New Zealand but did not play.

The host team will travel to Headingley on Tuesday afternoon, with the match set to begin on Thursday. England has a 2-0 advantage in the three-match series.

Dane Cleaver, New Zealand's backup wicketkeeper-batsman, has joined the Test team ahead of the third and final Test against England next week. Cleaver makes his debut after being called up as an injury cover for Wicket-keeper Cam Fletcher.

Dane Cleaver, the cousin of captain Kane Williamson, was named to the T20I team earlier in March for a one-off game against the Netherlands, which was later cancelled.

New Zealand had already lost the three-match Test series 2-0 as a result of injuries and a COVID-19 increase in the camp. Apart from Fletcher, fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has returned home due to a back injury. Jamieson injured his back on Day 3 of the second Test at Trent Bridge, and tests confirmed a stress reaction that will keep him out for at least six weeks. Blair Tickner named as replacement for Jamieson.
