England Tour of West Indies ODI Squad and Schedule 2024

England's selection panel has announced a 14-player squad for the upcoming white-ball series against West Indies, which will take place in October and November. The tour will feature three ODIs and five T20s across Antigua, Barbados, and St. Lucia, and will mark the return of Jos Buttler as white-ball captain following his recovery from a calf injury.

The squad sees Yorkshire leg-spinner Jafer Chohan receive his first England Men's call-up, making him the first graduate of the South Asian Cricket Academy to earn a spot in an England Men's squad. This historic selection reflects the growing diversity and inclusiveness of English cricket.

In addition to Chohan, uncapped players John Turner and Dan Mousley have also been selected. Both Turner and Mousley were part of England's recent white-ball squads against Australia, with Turner also having experience of touring the Caribbean last December.

England's 14-player squad for the West Indies tour will later be supplemented by two additional players who will join after the ongoing Test series in Pakistan. The final decision on these players will be made after the third Test, which is set to begin on Thursday, 24th October in Rawalpindi.

The three-week tour promises a competitive set of fixtures, as England look to build on their recent white-ball success while testing new talent on the international stage.

Jafer Chohan Earns Maiden Call-Up
Yorkshire's leg-spinner Jafer Chohan is set to make his debut for England, a significant moment as he becomes the first South Asian Cricket Academy graduate to be included in an England Men's squad. His inclusion highlights the ongoing efforts to provide more opportunities for diverse talents in the game.

New Faces Look to Make an Impact
The squad includes two other uncapped players—John Turner and Dan Mousley—who will be looking to make an impression. Both players have been part of recent England squads and are eager to contribute to the team's success on the tour.
