Evoke Super Series 2025: Full Schedule Announced for Ireland’s Premier Women’s Competition
The fixtures for the 2025 Evoke Super Series have been confirmed, setting the stage for an action-packed season of women’s domestic cricket in Ireland. This year’s edition will once again feature the country’s top talent competing across two formats the Evoke Super 50 Cup and the Evoke Super 20 Trophy.
The season kicks off on May 4 with the first match of the 50-over competition, followed by an exciting run of fixtures leading into the T20 segment. With Ireland’s women’s team preparing for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup European Qualifier in August, the addition of three two-day T20 festivals aims to provide ideal preparation for the national side.
Evoke Super 50 Cup: Defending Champions Scorchers Look to Retain Their Title
The Evoke Super 50 Cup will run from May to June, featuring three teams Scorchers, Typhoons, and Dragons battling for supremacy in the 50-over format.
Reigning champions Scorchers will look to continue their dominance after a strong campaign last year. However, they will face stiff competition from the Dragons and Typhoons, both of whom have bolstered their squads with young talent and experienced campaigners.
Matches will be played across Oak Hill, Lisburn, and Waringstown, with teams vying for crucial wins to set the tone for the rest of the season. The round-robin format ensures each team will have multiple opportunities to test their strategies ahead of the all-important European qualifiers later in the year.
Evoke Super 20 Trophy: High-Intensity T20 Action on the Horizon
Following the conclusion of the 50-over competition, the focus will shift to the Evoke Super 20 Trophy, which will take place from June to July. Defending champions Dragons will aim to hold onto their crown in the fast-paced T20 format, where momentum and adaptability play a crucial role.
This year’s tournament includes three two-day T20 festivals, a move designed to give players an opportunity to experience back-to-back matches in a short timeframe, mirroring the conditions they will face in international tournaments. With matches scheduled in Bready, Railway Union, and Merrion, fans can expect thrilling encounters as teams look to fine-tune their game plans ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup European Qualifier.
What to Expect from the 2025 Season
The Evoke Super Series continues to be a cornerstone of women’s cricket in Ireland, providing a competitive platform for emerging and established players. The tournament has been instrumental in developing Ireland’s cricketing depth, offering young talent a chance to play alongside and against some of the best cricketers in the country.
As the season unfolds, attention will also turn to squad announcements, with selectors closely monitoring performances ahead of Ireland’s international commitments. The battle for spots in the national team is expected to be fierce, adding an extra layer of intensity to the domestic competition.
With high-quality cricket, top-class venues, and a growing fanbase, the 2025 Evoke Super Series promises to be another thrilling chapter in Ireland’s women’s cricket journey.
