Hardik Pandya, a Team India all-rounder and the captain of the Gujarat Titans, has joined the Indian camp at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Hardik, who hasn't played cricket since the T20 World Cup in October-November owing to fitness concerns, will spend a few days at the NCA before rejoining the Gujarat Titans for the 2022 IPL season. Pandya is the captain of the Gujarat Titans, who are presently in quarantine and will begin practicing on Thursday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera.

In order to be eligible to participate in the IPL 2022, the all-rounder will have to bowl at least 10 overs in NCA. "The fitness test protocol will be decided by the NCA physios and VVS Laxman." However, as the selectors have stated, he must bowl a least 10 overs and pass the obligatory Yo-yo test according to the stipulated limits. It isn't made just for him. However, all cricketers must pass fitness exams. It is required for centrally contracted players before the IPL," a top BCCI official told the InsideSport website.

Hardik Pandya, the injured India all-rounder, has been cleared to lbowl for Gujarat Titans in the next IPL following a general evaluation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where he bowled and comfortably passed the 'Yo-Yo' Test.

Before the IPL, the BCCI is checking on all of its centrally contracted players, whether injured or not, and Pandya's performance at the NCA may be considered as a positive indicator for Indian cricket.

While Hardik Pandya passed the Yo-Yo Test, Prithvi Shaw of the Delhi Capitals failed the fitness test.
