Hong Kong fight against the odds to qualify for the Asia Cup 2022

Hong Kong have played very good cricket in the qualifiers which guaranteed them a spot in the Asia Cup 2022. They won all their games in the qualifiers which placed them at the top of the table. Their victories came against Singapore, Kuwait and UAE. They would be placed in Group A alongside India and Pakistan. They would be playing their first game against India on August 31st at Dubai which would be a challenging game. Next, they face Pakistan at Sharjah on September 1st. this is the schedule as far as Hong Kong is concerned.

They were a dominating force in the qualifiers as they were unbeatable. Yasim Murtaza and Babar Hyatt were the highest run scorers for Hong Kong with 130 and 97 runs respectively.  They played important knocks at the right time to see their team home. Their bowling was extraordinary as they stood up and performed in every game. The bowling unit has picked up 28 wickets in 3 games, which is a huge achievement for any T20 side. Ehsan Khan was the highest wicket taker of the qualifiers with 9 wickets to his name. They have conceded more than 150 runs in just one game which shows their bowling discipline. Hong Kong would like to play this brand of cricket continuously and put up a good show in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.
