This week, Mr. Jay Shah, the recently elected Chair of the International Cricket Council (ICC), visited the ICC Headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to begin his term. The visit signaled the start of a new era for cricket as Mr. Shah takes over as head of the sport's international governing body.
Mr. Shah spoke with the Board Directors about his vision and the sport's future during the visit to the headquarters. At the annual broadcast workshop, which was being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, there was also a chance to meet and greet ICC personnel and the organization's Media Rights partners. These exchanges offered a chance to talk about cricket's future, look into creative tactics, and fortify alliances.
"I want to express my sincere gratitude to the members of the ICC Board, the ICC team, and everyone who helped make my first day at the ICC Headquarters as Chair a genuinely unforgettable experience," stated ICC Chair Mr. Jay Shah.
"This trip gave me a priceless chance to network with my ICC Board colleagues, and we talked about the first roadmap and tactics to help mold this amazing sport's future.
"Meeting the committed ICC crew that works tirelessly behind the scenes to advance cricket gave me equal joy. Their enthusiasm for the tremendous chances that lay ahead, along with their shared passion and belief in the sport's immense potential, are genuinely motivating.
"Today has been inspiring and fruitful. Although what I have witnessed gives me hope, I understand that this is only the beginning. The effort to take cricket to new heights begins right now, and I have faith that we can realize this goal as a team."
