ICC launch a refreshed visual identity for the men’s and women’s Champions Trophy

With an innovative and entertaining twist, the ICC today unveiled a new visual identity for the men's and women's Champions Trophy.

The world's best teams gather for the Champions Trophy, an exciting two-week competition where every game matters. The world's top players will fight for the Champions Trophy white jackets in a brand-new women's event in the T20 format, while the men's event will make a comeback for the first time since 2017.

Every two years, the best eight men's ODI teams will play for the coveted white jackets. Then, a new era will begin with the top six women's T20 teams facing off in a fierce, all-out match where we will see each team make history.

The recently developed visual identity is a lively, digital-first statement that purposefully challenges the status quo. The strong, loud, self-assured, and playful tone of the design is established by the unique typographic logo.

The language of cricket, from the distinctive and essential phrases that describe the game to the cries made when a wicket falls to the name of each superstar that appears on the back of their uniform, served as inspiration for its design, which aims to be nimble, unique, and expressive. The name celebrates the fact that written and spoken language are essential components of the sport.

"The return of the men's ICC Champions Trophy along with a brand-new women's event has given us a great opportunity for a refreshed vibrant and fun visual identity to represent the events over the next few years," stated Anurag Dahiya, Chief Commercial Officer of the ICC.

"The event is known for two weeks of intense competition, which is mirrored in the brand's bright and boisterous edge. The characteristic white coats, which pay homage to the Champions Trophy's past and its particular, worldwide appeal, go hand in hand with the new components.
