ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025: Full Match Schedule Announced
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the match schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025, which is set to take place in Lahore, Pakistan, from 9 to 19 April. This 15-match round-robin tournament will determine the final two teams that will qualify for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, to be held in India in October and November.
Pakistan will host the competition, with matches being played at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium and the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) ground. The tournament will feature four Full Member teams Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Ireland alongside two Associate nations, Scotland and Thailand.
Teams on the Brink of World Cup Qualification
The six competing teams will battle it out in Lahore for the last two available spots in the Women’s Cricket World Cup. The likes of Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and hosts India have already secured direct qualification through the ICC Women’s Championship (2022-25).
Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Ireland finished between seventh and tenth place in the Women’s Championship, which means they must now go through this qualification stage. Meanwhile, Scotland and Thailand earned their places by being the highest-ranked teams outside of the Women’s Championship as of 28 October 2024.
Key Fixtures to Watch
The tournament will open with a double-header on 9 April, featuring Pakistan taking on Ireland at the Gaddafi Stadium, while the West Indies face Scotland at LCCA.

Another key fixture will be the Bangladesh vs West Indies matchup on 17 April at LCCA, while the competition will conclude with a high-stakes Pakistan vs Bangladesh encounter on 19 April.
