In a rematch of the Season 2 final, the reigning champions MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals will square off in a thrilling match at the Dubai International Stadium (DIS) to kick off the DP World International League T20 Season 3. On Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time, the first ball will be delivered.
On Sunday, January 12 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders will play their first home game of the season against the Desert Vipers, the Season 1 finalists. The Gulf Giants, who won Season 1, will play the Sharjah Warriorz in their tournament opener at the DIS that same day in the evening. On Friday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m., the hosts Sharjah Warriorz and Dubai Capitals will square off in the first of eight games at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
The Dubai International Stadium will host fifteen tournament games. Sharjah Cricket Stadium will host eight of the Season 3 matches, while Abu Dhabi's Zayed Cricket Stadium will host eleven. On weekdays, the evening games will start at 6:30 p.m., and on weekends, at 6:00 p.m. The afternoon games on doubleheader weekends will start at 2:00 p.m.
The month-long event will feature 34 matches in total, culminating on Sunday, February 9 with the final at the DIS. In India, Zee Network will show the entirety of Season 3 live. In the days ahead, the global syndicate broadcast partners will be revealed.
The six DP World ILT20 franchises have retained T20 superstars like Andre Russell (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Alex Hales (Desert Vipers), Sherfane Rutherford (Desert Vipers), David Warner (Dubai Capitals), Rovman Powell (Dubai Capitals), Chris Jordan (Gulf Giants), Shimron Hetmyer (Gulf Giants), Akeal Hossein (MI Emirates), Nicholas Pooran (MI Emirates), Adil Rashid (Sharjah Warriorz Wildcard Pick in Season 2) and Johnson Charles (Sharjah Warriorz).
Additionally, Jason Roy (Sharjah Warriorz), Fakhar Zaman (Desert Vipers), Shai Hope (Dubai Capitals), Lockie Ferguson (Desert Vipers), Roston Chase (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Matthew Wade (Sharjah Warriorz), Ibrahim Zadran (Gulf Giants) and Romario Shepherd (MI Emirates) will make their DP World ILT20 debuts in Season 3 and dazzle the crowds. Additional UAE players will be selected next week.
