Two consecutive defeats in a row for Chennai Super Kings, what's wrong with the defending champion ???

Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants clashed yesterday in search of their first win. Lucknow won the toss and elected to field. Uthappa and Ruthraj were the opening batsmen for Chennai. Uthappa was in the mood to express action from the first ball, while Ruthraj was unfortunately run out by Ravi Bishnoi. Moeen Ali then joined hands with Uthappa. Together, they raised the score of the Chennai team. Robin Uthappa quickly scored 50 off just 27 balls. His co-partner Moeen Ali scored 35 off 22 balls.

At the end of 10.1 overs, Chennai team scored 106 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. new batsmen Rayudu and Shivam Dubey reflected the same magic that Uthappa & Moeen Ali did. Shivam Dubey in particular made everyone in shock with his batting, he scored 49 off 30 balls. His partner Rayudu scored 27 off 20 balls. Manish Pandey, who came on after suddenly departed for just 5 runs. Evin Lewis, who later teamed up with De Kock, expressed action from the first ball he faced. In the 15th over, De Kock was dismissed for 64 off 45 balls.  At the end of 15 overs Lucknow scored only 144 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

That team now needs 67 runs in the remaining 5 overs to win. Evin Lewis and his new partner in action Deepak added just 21 runs for the next two overs. In the 2nd ball of the 18th over, Deepak was dismissed for 13 off 8 balls. Mukesh Choudhary who bowled the final over, bowled the first two balls wide, leaving the team with little work to do. The young batsman hit a huge six when the team was on the verge of victory with 7 off 6 balls. Then at the end of 19.3 overs won by 6 wickets.
