What Chennai team should have done to win the match:
The Chennai team took a long time to take the first wicket in yesterday's match. The champion side, they must have taken one or two wickets in the Power Play overs. Although the Lucknow team batted well in the first 10 overs and Chennai came back to their performance very well in the next 8 overs. With the opposite team needing 34 runs in the last 2 overs, Chennai team lost in this match is the biggest question here.
The penultimate over always plays a big role in determining the success of a match. The biggest mistake made by the Chennai team was by giving the 19th over to Shivam Dube. Shivam Dube, who had not bowled a single ball till the 18th over of the match. Although Ravindra Jadeja bowled 2 overs and gave up 21 runs, he should have gone for the 19th over.
We have seen spin bowlers performing better in death overs in a lot of matches before this. We all know how cunning Ravindra Jadeja in particular can throw the ball. By the result, Lucknow were rewarded with 25 runs from Shivam Dube poor spell. Then Chennai lost the match in the final over with nothing to do. This was their consecutive 2nd defeat. As the champions side Chennai, although they had known everything with their experience, must be very careful in each and every over of the upcoming matches.
