TATA IPL Fan Parks 2025: Hyderabad, Chennai and New Cities Set to Light Up the Final Weeks
As the thrilling climax of the TATA IPL 2025 approaches, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the final leg of its fan engagement extravaganza: the IPL Fan Parks 2025. Over the past two months, this initiative has brought the energy of IPL cricket to over 50 cities across India, and now, with just two weekends remaining, the festival reaches its high point with new cities added to the experience including, for the first time ever, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Set for May 24th–25th and June 1st–3rd, these final two weeks promise unmatched entertainment, community bonding, and the joy of live cricket screenings in outdoor, festival-style venues. With ten new cities announced, the IPL Fan Parks continue to fulfill their mission of democratizing cricket celebration taking it beyond stadiums and into the very fabric of Indian towns and cities.
A First for Hyderabad and Chennai
In a significant moment for two of India’s most passionate cricketing hubs, Hyderabad and Chennai will host official IPL Fan Parks for the very first time. While both cities have long been steeped in IPL fervor through their home franchises Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings the arrival of dedicated fan parks in 2025 marks a new chapter in their local cricket culture.
Hyderabad’s Bhavans Cricket Ground in Sainikpuri and Chennai’s KCG College of Technology in Karapakkam will serve as the backdrop for this celebration, complete with giant LED screens, cheer zones, and cricket-themed immersive experiences. These fan parks give thousands of fans an opportunity to rally together and experience live playoff action in real time even if they can’t make it to the stadium.
Fan Parks Go Hyperlocal in Final Stretch
Apart from the metro debuts, the BCCI’s final announcement for IPL Fan Parks 2025 includes smaller cities across India’s diverse landscape. These include Agra, Bhilai, Krishnanagar, Ghazipur, Rourkela, Jamshedpur, Goa, and Kakinada each chosen for its vibrant local cricket following and community enthusiasm.
These fan parks are more than just live screening venues. Each location will host curated IPL-themed attractions like a virtual batting experience, face painting booths, 360° photo zones, and live DJ zones that fuse sports with music and celebration. Designed to be family-friendly, most fan parks will also include kids’ play areas and food courts representing local culinary delights.
A Nation-Wide Celebration Since 2015
Launched in 2015, the IPL Fan Park initiative was designed to decentralize the match-day experience. For many fans across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, it became the closest thing to the stadium thrill. With entry free of cost and events held under open skies, the Fan Parks quickly grew into a beloved aspect of IPL culture.
What makes the 2025 edition even more special is its expanded scale reaching 50 cities across 23 states and 1 union territory. With this scale, IPL Fan Parks have not just become a satellite for the main event they are the heartbeat of grassroots cricket celebration in India.
Bringing Communities Together
The IPL is not just a sporting league it’s a nationwide emotion. The 2025 season has seen record-breaking stadium attendances, and the excitement has translated into packed fan parks where strangers become friends, and communities gather to cheer for their favorite teams. The decision to include cities like Krishnanagar, Rourkela, and Ghazipur speaks to BCCI’s commitment to taking cricket closer to fans in often overlooked regions.
In many of these places, cricket fans don’t have access to live matches in-person, due to lack of stadiums or long travel distances. Fan Parks bridge that gap offering not just match broadcasts, but a festival-like environment that turns every six and wicket into a shared moment of joy.
What to Expect at Each IPL Fan Park
Every fan park is built to be a mini-IPL carnival. From food trucks and local vendors to cheerleaders and emcees running contests, these events create a stadium-like buzz. And thanks to their immersive installations bowling nets, cheer-o-meters, merch zones, and AR photo booths they’re also Instagram-worthy hotspots for young fans and families alike.
The matches to be screened during this final stretch include the high-stakes playoffs and the IPL 2025 final, giving fans in these cities front-row seats to some of the tournament’s biggest moments.
A Platform for Future Expansion
Given the overwhelming success of IPL Fan Parks over the past few years, many have called for the format to evolve even further—perhaps into multi-day cricket carnivals, regional tournaments, or even touring mini-leagues. With strong backing from BCCI and engagement from local governments, the groundwork is there for a national-scale cricket festival beyond the IPL season itself.
For now, the focus remains on making the closing weeks of IPL 2025 as accessible and festive as possible. And with Fan Parks in cities from Kakinada to Goa, the atmosphere promises to be electric.
