The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has officially announced its squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season. The selection was made by the Senior Men's Selection Committee, chaired by Mr. Vidya Bhaskar, and has been approved by the JKCA Sub-Committee.
The J&K squad will be led by veteran cricketer Paras Dogra, who has been appointed captain for the season. Shubham Khajuria has been named the vice-captain. The squad features a mix of experience and young talent, ensuring a balanced approach as the team gears up for India’s premier domestic cricket competition.
The 15-member squad includes some of J&K’s most promising cricketers, with international pacer Umran Malik making headlines as part of the lineup. Players such as Abdul Samad, known for his explosive batting in limited-overs formats, and Vivrant Sharma, who continues to impress with his all-round capabilities, add depth to the team. Wicketkeeper-batter Shivansh Sharma will assume duties behind the stumps.
The JKCA has also announced a strong support staff to guide the team throughout the tournament. Ajay Sharma will serve as the Head Coach, bringing with him a wealth of experience. He will be assisted by P. Krishna Kumar as Bowling Coach and Dishant Yagnik as Fielding Coach. The team manager will be Hilal Ahmad, while Sunny Kumar takes up the role of Trainer. The medical and analytical aspects will be handled by Chirag Pandya (Physiotherapist), Sahil Magotra (Video Analyst), and Naresh Kumar (Masseur).
