Kieron Pollard, the West Indies' all-rounder, announced his retirement from international cricket on social media on Wednesday. Pollard, who captained the West Indies' limited-overs teams, played in a total of 123 One-Day Internationals and 101 Twenty-One-Day Internationals. He has been a key member of the Mumbai Indians franchise in the Indian Premier League for numerous years, and the franchise decided to keep him ahead of the blockbuster auction in February.

Pollard revealed his intention to retire in a video statement posted to his Instagram account. He was a member of the West Indies side that won the ICC WT20 in 2012, however, he missed out on his second T20 World Cup victory in 2016 due to injuries.

He made his International debut for West Indies at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2007 and ended up playing 123 One-Day Internationals for the team. In 2011 World cup, he scored 2,706 runs with a best score of 119 against India in Chennai. He also has 55 wickets to his name. In 2008, he made his T20I debut against Australia at Kensington Oval, and he went on to play in 101 games. He hit 99 sixes and got 42 wickets in his 1,569-run innings. In 2020, he scored 75 not out against New Zealand in Auckland, and his best statistics were 4-25 against Ireland at Warner Park in St Kitts.
