Match Officials Announced for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 just around the corner, the match officials for the group stage have been confirmed. The prestigious tournament returns for the first time since 2017, featuring the world’s best teams battling across Pakistan and Dubai from February 19 to March 2.
The tournament opener will see Pakistan (PAK) take on New Zealand (NZ) in Karachi, officiated by experienced umpires Richard Kettleborough and Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, with Joel Wilson as the TV umpire. Alex Wharf will serve as the fourth umpire, while Andrew Pycroft will be the match referee.
With 12 high-intensity matches scheduled, an elite panel of ICC umpires and referees will oversee proceedings, ensuring fair play in one of cricket’s most competitive global events.

The much-anticipated clash between arch-rivals PAK and IND on February 23 will be overseen by umpires Paul Reiffel and Richard Illingworth, with Michael Gough as TV umpire and Adrian Holdstock as fourth umpire.
As the competition heats up, officiating teams will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the game. The final group-stage match between NZ and IND on March 2 in Dubai will feature Gough and Illingworth as on-field umpires, with Holdstock as TV umpire.
