Match officials for Champions One Day Cup announced

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced today that Aleem Dar, a former member of the ICC elite panel, and Asif Yaqoob, a member of the ICC's international panel, will officiate the Champions One-Day Cup opening game between Wolves and Panthers on September 12. The Playing Control Team (PCB), which also includes Waleed Yaqub and Zulfiqar Jan as the third and fourth umpires, will be led by former Test cricket player Ali Naqvi.

Nine umpires, including legends like Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and Waqar Younis, will officiate the competition between the nation's top players. The umpire panel includes Aleem Dar, Asif Yaqoob, Waleed Yaqub, and Zulfiqar Jan. Faisal Aafreedi, Imtiaz Iqbal, Imran Jawed, Nasir Hussain, and Rashid Riaz are the other five umpires.

In addition to Ali Naqvi, Bilal Khilji, Iftikhar Ahmed, Iqbal Sheikh, Nadeem Arshad, and Kamran Chaudhry will also serve as match referees.

Appointments for match referees and umpires for the final and all three playoff rounds will be made closer to the event.
