Mohammad Haris to Lead Pakistan Shaheens in ACC Mens T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Mohammad Haris, who has featured in nine T20Is and six ODIs for Pakistan, has been named captain of Pakistan Shaheens for the upcoming ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup. The tournament will take place in Oman from 18 to 27 October, with matches hosted at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat. Before the team's departure to Oman on 16 October, a training camp will be held at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi from 11 to 15 October.

Squad Details and First-time Players

The Pakistan Shaheens squad includes Abdul Samad, Ahmed Daniyal, Yasir Khan, and Zaman Khan, who will all be representing the Shaheens for the first time. Abdul Samad impressed with a strike rate of 122.88 during the recently concluded Bahria Town Champions One-Day Cup 2024-25, while Ahmed Daniyal took ten wickets for Nurpur Lions in the same tournament. Yasir and Zaman also made appearances for Allied Bank Stallions.

Tournament Structure and Fixtures

The tournament will feature eight teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka A, while Group B features Pakistan Shaheens, India A, Oman, and the UAE. Pakistan Shaheens' first match will be against rivals India A on 19 October, followed by games against Oman on 21 October and the UAE on 23 October. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for 25 October, with the final taking place on 27 October.

23 October: Pakistan Shaheens vs. UAE, 9:00 AM IST

All matches will be held at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground, promising an exciting contest as young talents from across Asia showcase their skills.
