New Zealand Cricket confirms WHITE FERNS ICC T20 World Cup Trophy Tour, Nov 2 to 10

The WHITE FERNS will embark on a nationwide Trophy Tour this Saturday in Dunedin, the hometown of Suzie Bates and Eden Carson, following their victory at the ICC T20 World Cup.

On Friday afternoon, the World Champions will land in Christchurch, where they will be given a warm welcome home by supporters and main sponsor ANZ at a function held at the Novotel airport hotel.

Following that, team members and support personnel will attend fan events in their respective regions as the T20 World Cup trophy embarks on a whistlestop nine-day tour across the nation from south to north.

In an effort to spread the World Cup cheer to as many New Zealanders as possible, the WHITE FERNS will combine special visits to cricket clubs and schools with the free public activities (mentioned below).

The Trophy Tour, according to NZC GM Marketing Communications Stacey Geraghty, was a fantastic chance for the team and the general public to bond and commemorate their first-ever ICC T20 World Cup victory.

"We are committed to making the most of the World Cup victory, which is unquestionably a turning point for women's cricket in this nation."

In the same way the Kiwis cheered the BLACKCAPS on their 2021 ICC World Test Championship Mace tour, we anticipate that the public will turn out in force to rejoice with the squad, based on the level of excitement that followed the victory back home in New Zealand.

Fans will be able to see their favorites in person, get their signatures and pictures taken, and of course, take a picture with the trophy at the public events.

"The WHITE FERNS are incredibly thrilled about the tour and the opportunity to connect with fans of all ages, inspire the next generation, and express gratitude to the people of New Zealand for their unwavering support."

According to Geraghty, the victory in the T20 World Cup and the Trophy Tour that followed gave the White Ferns the ideal springtime lead-up to the historic Rose Bowl series against Australia in Wellington before Christmas.

All of the WHITE FERNS games this summer will also feature the ICC T20 World Cup trophy.
