Pakistan named 16-Member Squad For West Indies ODI Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the West Indies on Monday (May 23). This ODI series will be part of the ICC World Cup Super League, which will decide qualifying for the ICC Men's World Cup in 50-over cricket in 2023.

Babar Azam will captain the 16-man team, with spin bowling all-rounder Shadab Khan returning as vice-captain after missing the white-ball series against Australia in April due to injury. Five players who was named in 21 member squad for Australia series have been left out of the upcoming series as it will not be performed in a bio-bubble environment.

Pakistan ODI Squad: Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan (vc), Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shaheen Afridi, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Mohammad Wasim Junior, Shahnawaz Dahani and Zahid Mahmood, Abdullah Shafique.

5 Players who are dropped are Asif Afridi, Asif Ali, Haider Ali and Usman Qadir.

Saud Shakeel unavailable for the selection as scheduled to undergo surgery for sinusitis
