At the TIO Stadium in Darwin on Friday night, Pakistan Shaheens defeated Bangladesh 'A' by three wickets to secure their fourth victory in the Top End T20 series.
After defeating Tasmania and Melbourne Renegades by five and four wickets, respectively, Shaheens have won three straight games.
Shaheens needed to score 142 runs to win, and their opening duo of Mohammed Haris and Sahibzada Farhan got things going quickly, putting together 47 runs for the first wicket in just 34 balls.
Haris, a right-handed batsman, was the first to board the pavilion again after finishing with 32 off just 18 balls, hammering two fours and three massive sixes. After scoring 17 from 21 balls, including one boundary, Farhan was removed from the game.
Shaheens were reduced to 65 for three in 8.3 overs with Abdul Faseeh scoring just nine runs. Usman Khan and Omair Bin Yousuf then combined to contribute a vital 46 runs for the fourth wicket.
Following the removal of Usman (19b, 16, 1x4), Shaheens were reduced to 123 for seven in 17 overs when Mubasir (two off five), Omair (37, 29b, 3x4s, 1x6), and Mohammad Abbas Afridi (nought) fell in short succession.
Shaheens were assisted by Jahandad Khan and Muhammad Irfan Khan in reaching the aim with eight balls remaining.
Previously, Shaheens chose to bowl first and held Bangladesh 'A' to 141 for five thanks to a three-fer from wrist spinner Faisal Akram. Faisal finished the match with match totals of 4-0-10-3, including 15 dot balls, while Mubasir and Abbas both claimed a wicket.
Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby and Shamim Hossain stitched together an unbroken 83 runs for the sixth wicket for Bangladesh "A". Shamim top-scored for his team with a 38-ball 44, hitting five fours, while Mahfuzur scored 41 off 32 balls, including five fours and a six.
The Pakistan Shaheens' next game is scheduled for tomorrow at the DXC Arena against the ACT Comets.
