Cricket Australia and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese have unveiled the squad for the upcoming Prime Minister’s XI match against India, scheduled to begin on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Canberra’s Manuka Oval. The two-day, day/night pink-ball match promises high-quality cricket ahead of India’s NRMA Insurance Day Night Test Match in Adelaide.

Jacobs Joins Boland and Renshaw in Star-Studded Lineup

Prime Minister Albanese expressed his excitement about the squad, stating:

“The Prime Minister’s XI has a rich history in Australian cricket, and this match against one of the world’s best teams will be a valuable experience for our players and fans alike.”

A Platform for Emerging Talent

Chair of Selectors George Bailey emphasized the importance of this match as a platform for nurturing talent:

“This squad strikes a balance between experienced players and emerging stars. The match against India is an excellent opportunity for these players to test themselves on the big stage.”

The inclusion of Scott Boland ensures he remains match-ready for the Test squad, while promising players like Ollie Davies and Jayden Goodwin will look to make a mark against the formidable Indian team.
