Purani Dilli 6 made a strong start while defending their target of 174, exploiting the early swing to limit Central Delhi Kings during the Powerplay. Prince Yadav made the initial breakthrough by dismissing Dhruv Kaushik (2 off 5), followed by a run-out that left Central Delhi Kings at 39/2 after six overs.
Lakshay Thareja, who was batting well, couldn't convert his start and was dismissed for 34 off 26 in the ninth over, reducing Central Delhi Kings to 57/3 at the halfway point. Shivam Sharma then removed Hiten Dalal (27 off 25) in the 14th over, increasing the required run rate to over 12 runs per over. Central Delhi Kings managed to cross the 100-run mark in the 15th over but struggled to accelerate their scoring.
Prince Yadav claimed his second wicket by dismissing impact substitute Aryan Rana (8 off 10) in the 17th over, solidifying Purani Dilli 6's control over the match. Jonty Sidhu scored a quick fifty in 31 balls but was caught and bowled by Yadav in the same over, who finished with impressive figures of 3/16. Ayush Singh Thakur then took two wickets in the final over to seal a convincing win for Purani Dilli 6.
Earlier, after being asked to bat first, Purani Dilli 6 faced a challenging start, losing three wickets with only 38 runs on the board by the end of the Powerplay. Keshav Dalal and Yug Gupta steadied the innings with crucial boundaries, but Jonty Sidhu broke their partnership by dismissing Dalal for 28 off 20 balls in the 11th over.
Gupta managed to take the team's total to 100 in 12.2 overs but was dismissed immediately after for 44 off 30, narrowly missing his fifty. Mayank Gusain (13 off 12) also fell cheaply to Dadar in the 16th over, leaving Purani Dilli 6 at 131/6.
Lalit Yadav then took control, scoring an unbeaten 46 off 29 balls, with support from Sumit Chhikara, who contributed 19* off 10 balls, helping Purani Dilli 6 to a competitive total of 173/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
