Australia defeated Scotland by 7 wickets in the 1st T20I of their 2024 series, held in Edinburgh on September 4, 2024.
Scotland, batting first, scored 145/9 in their 20 overs. Their innings was highlighted by George Munsey's 28 off 16 balls and contributions from Matthew Cross (27 off 21) and Richie Berrington (23 off 20). Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, taking 2 wickets for 33 runs.
In response, Australia chased down the target with ease, reaching 146/3 in just 8.1 overs. Travis Head was the star with a blistering 80 off just 25 balls, supported by Mitchell Marsh, who scored 39 off 12. Mark Watt managed to pick up 2 wickets for Scotland, but it wasn't enough to stop Australia from cruising to victory.
