28 August 2024
With 593 players nominated for selection in each of the two Drafts, there are two excellent player pools ready for action on Sunday: the KFC BBL|14 and Weber WBBL|10 Drafts.
In addition, the League has approved the last Draft Pick transfer between two teams, confirming the full roster of 16 pre-signed players from both tournaments.
Nominations
You may download the complete lists of the 161 WBBL|10 and 432 BBL|14 Draft nominees here. The Big Bash App offers access to the lists as well.
Many English celebrities, such as Kate Cross, Ben Duckett, Lauren Filer, and Reece Topley, as well as Tazmin Brits, Sune Luus, Lungi Ngidi, and Rassie van der Dussen from South Africa, are the main participants in the final player release.
The players on the final list were gradually revealed over the course of the previous week using the Big Bash App. In addition to players from India (WBBL only), New Zealand, Pakistan, and the West Indies, these players are also eligible for retention.
Zak Crawley and Dani Gibson of England withdrew their nominations after they were previously made public.
Thirty countries are represented in total among the nominations, highlighting the BigBash’s global appeal.Nominations

Pre-signed players have to be chosen in the Draft by their club using a pick that corresponds to the wage range specified in their contract.
Clubs that have a player who has already signed a contract are required under the Draft rules to choose at least two more players. Now that every pre-signed spot has been taken, each team is only allowed to pass on a single pick in the Draft.
Big Bash League Executive General Manager for Cricket Australia, Alistair Dobson, stated:
"Another exceptional group of international players has expressed interest in the KFC BBL|14 and Weber WBBL|10 Drafts, guaranteeing a thrilling Draft day on Sunday.
"Every year, the calibre and amount of nominations increase, highlighting the Big Bash's reputation as a top destination for players worldwide.
"This is enhanced by sixteen elite pre-signed players who have pledged their long-term futures to our Leagues—a fantastic outcome for supporters and clubs alike.
"We appreciate the global players' and their representatives' dedication to the Big Bash Leagues, as well as the support and collaboration of the international boards."
Select trades
Prior to the WBBL|10 Draft, the Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades have reached an agreement on a pick trade.
The Renegades have acquired Picks 22 and 27 in exchange for the Strikers' trade of Picks 19 and 30.
