Adani Womens Delhi Premier League T20 | South Delhi Superstarz Women edge Central Delhi Queens by 17 runs via DLS method

In the sixth game of the Adani Women's Delhi Premier League T20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday, South Delhi Superstarz Women defeated Central Delhi Queens by 17 runs using the DLS technique.

Neha Chillar's undefeated cameo of 24 off 14 and Vandana Chaturvedi's 34 off 29 helped Central Delhi Queens reach 127/7 in their 20 overs. In response, openers Shweta Sehrawat and Chhavi Gupta gave the South Delhi Superstarz a cautious start.

They amassed 71 runs after 10 overs, keeping the scoreboard ticking over with punctual boundaries. Nevertheless, Gupta managed to score 32 off 32 balls before being removed in the next over.

Play was suspended due to rain after 12 overs, with the South Delhi Superstarz Women leading 85/1. Since play could not be resumed before the cutoff time because to rain, they were given the victory using the DLS method.

Central Delhi Queens had a strong start earlier in the day. Armeet Kaur provided support to Vandana Chaturvedi, who took the lead, and the two combined for a 50-run opening partnership. But the Central Delhi Queens lost wickets quickly after, and at the midway point, they were down to 63/3.

The Central Delhi Queens' momentum was then stopped by South Delhi Superstarz women, who claimed crucial wickets in the ensuing overs. With a crucial 24* off 14 in the last overs, Neha Chillar helped Central Delhi Queens to 127/7 in their 20 overs.

The bowler who stood out the most was Tanisha Singh, who returned after three overs with scores of 2/7. Sumiti Soni, Aarti Kumari, and Medhavi Bidhuri each claimed one wicket.
