Squads for second round of Duleep Trophy 2024-25 announced

The Mens Selection Committee have announced certain changes for the second round of the Duleep Trophy starting from 12th September in Anantapur

Squads for second round of Duleep Trophy 2024-25 announced

The Men's Selection Committee has made several announcements regarding the Duleep Trophy second round, which will take place at Anantapur on September 12th.

India's Test team for the series against Bangladesh includes A Captain Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Akash Deep; they will not play in the next round.

The selectors have chosen SK Rasheed (Andhra CA) to replace Jurel, Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha CA) to replace KL Rahul, and Pratham Singh (Railways) to replace Gill. Shams Mulani, a left-arm spinner, will take Kuldeep's place in the squad, while Akashdeep will be replaced by Aaqib Khan (UPCA).

The new captain of India A is Mayank Agarwal. 

Updated India A team: Prasidh Krishna, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Kumar Kushagra, Pratham Singh, Akshay Wadkar, SK Rasheed, Shams Mulani, Aaqib Khan, Mayank Agarwal (captain), Riyan Parag, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan,

The selectors have picked Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh as replacements for India B's Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant, respectively, in the team. In the game scheduled for the second round, fast bowler Yash Dayal, who has also been chosen in India's team, has been called up for the first time. The team now includes Himanshu Mantri (CA, Madhya Pradesh).  

The current India B team is composed of the following players: Rahul Chahar, R Sai Kishore, Mohit Awasthi, N Jagadeesan (WK), Suyash Prabhudessai, Rinku Singh, Himanshu Mantri (WK), Navdeep Saini, Mukesh Kumar, and Abhimanyu Easwaran (C).

Axar Patel (Haryana CA) will be replaced by Nishant Sindhu (Team D) as he joins Team India. Due to a niggle, Tushar Deshpande is out of the second round and will be replaced by Vidwath Kaverappa of India A.

New India D team: Ricky Bhui, Saransh Jain, Arshdeep Singh, Aditya Thakare, Harshit Rana, Akash Sengupta, KS Bharat (WK), Saurabh Kumar, Sanju Samson (WK), Nishant Sindhu, Vidwath Kaverappa, Atharva Taide, Yash Dubey, Devdutt Padikkal, Ricky Lyer (C).

The lineup for Team C does not alter during the second round.
