Six of the top seven run scorers in this year's competition are in the batting lineup, led by Beth Mooney (5051 runs), the new record holder for the highest individual innings in League history, Lizelle Lee (150 not out), and Ellyse Perry (424 runs), the WBBL|10 BKT Golden Bat winner.

Perry makes her sixth appearance in the starting lineup, and Mooney has been selected to the Team of the Tournament for the ninth time in ten seasons.

The bowlers include this season's top three wicket-takers, Alana King (20 wickets), Sophie Molineux (15 wickets), Samantha Bates (19 wickets), and Chloe Ainsworth, the WBBL|10 Young Gun champion.

Three international players are featured: former India fast bowler Shikha Pandey, West Indies all-rounder Hayley Matthews, and South African wicket-keeper Lee.

For the first time, Molineux is named captain of the Team of the Tournament after leading the Melbourne Renegades to the top spot in both the home and away seasons and winning the opportunity to host the Weber WBBL|10 Final.

On Thursday, the WBBL Team of the Decade will be announced.

Cricket Australia's Big Bash Leagues Executive General Manager, Alistair Dobson, stated:

It is appropriate that the tenth Weber WBBL Team of the Tournament consists of a mix of all-time greats, seasoned and reliable players, and fresh talent from Australia and abroad.

"We are equally happy to recognize new players for their performances this season, but there aren't many words that adequately describe the accomplishments of Beth Mooney and Ellyse Perry throughout WBBL history.

"We congratulate all of the players who were chosen, especially Sophie Molineux, who was the first captain and the seven first-time players on the merit side.

"We also acknowledge the efforts of all eight WBBL head coaches in choosing this team."
