A match winning knock from Axar patel helps India to seal the series 2-0

India won the series 2-0 with one match left. Axar Patel grabbed it for India. His dominating striking at the end completed the purpose. When the burden was on, few solid knocks put India in the contest, and it lasted till India crossed the finish line. After being three down for 79, Iyer and Samson restored India's hopes. One is good vs Spin and the later vs Pace

Unfortunately, both could only reach the fifties. Vice-Captain continues to make impact in this series, consecutive fifties for Shreyas Iyer. Hooda then united hands with Axar, leaving the latter to handle the signal till the climax. Avesh Khan swinging aggressively and hitting a couple of fours relieved Axar of some of the load. Windies must just pick themselves up after coming so close to victory only to fall terribly short.

Earlier in the innings, West Indies have set a difficult target of 312 for the visitors. After choosing to bat first, the openers Hope and Mayers got off to a strong start, scoring 45 runs in the opening 6 overs. Kyle Mayers played his role as aggressive hitter, which helped Shai Hope to get his eye to settle. Shamarh Brooks got off to a fantastic start as well, but like Mayers, he was unable to convert that start to a big score.

Shai Hope became the 4th Caribbean batter to reach a century in his 100th ODI. He become the first player to score a century in both 50th and 100th ODI match., while Pooran also contributed with his power hitting abilities. He played a captain's innings of 74 runs off 77 balls with 1 four and 6 sixers. Avesh Khan's ODI debut wasn't terrific, he bowls only 6 overs with a economy of 9.00.It was the third consecutive 300-plus totals in this series, India would believe their hopes to chase the target to seal the series.

Axar Patel received the player of the match for his heroics.
