On Monday at St. Kitts, West Indies won by 5 wickets to level the series 1-1 after Obed McCoy recorded the highest T20I bowling figures for Windies (6/17). The Left arm seamer started with a wicket-maiden after claiming Rohit Sharma's wicket and finished with 6 wickets haul to end India's innings on 138 in Match 2 of the 5-match T20I series. Brandon King began the attack with a solid knock of 68, but a middle-overs slowdown put West Indies in a tricky position until Devon Thomas' finishing with a boundaries in the final over 31* (19 balls) helped the hosts reclaim series equality.
After winning the toss, West Indies skipper Nicholas Pooran chose to bat first, which proved to be the correct choice in this wicket. Obed McCoy took the crucial wicket of Skipper Rohit Sharma in his first delivery of the over, and put the Indians on the back foot. Holder dismissed Avesh Khan to restrict India's innings to 138.
Chasing just 139 runs, West Indies got off to a flying start as Brandon King hammered the Indian bowlers. However, the opener lacked company from the other end, as first batter Kyle Mayers was removed after only 8 runs.
Pooran was the next to depart, while score reaching 71/2. Jadeja dismissed Shimron Hetmyer with his unremarkable spell. Avesh Khan dismmied settled batter Brandon King for 68 runs as West Indies 107/4 in 15.3 Overs. The Indian bowlers produced a tremendous comeback, bringing the match close. Arshdeep Singh bowled a magnificent 19th over, conceding only 6 runs and picking up the crucial wicket of Hitter Rovman Powell. Avesh was tasked to defend 10 runs needed in the last over. He bowl a no ball off his first ball, and at next ball Devon Thomas hammered a six off the free hit to put the game out of reach. Thomas then hit a boundary to earn the victory and tie the series.
