Chakabva to Captain Zimbabwe for India ODIs. Sikandar Raza will be his deputy

Zimbabwe has announced 17 players for the 2022 Kajaria Cup India Tour of Zimbabwe One-Day International Series.

Zimbabwe and India will play in three one-day international matches at Harare Sports Club on August 18, 20, and 22 as part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League. Regis Chakabva will captain the home team in place of regular captain Craig Ervine, who is still recovering from a left hamstring injury.

Zimbabwe will also be missing Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chatara, and Wellington Masakadza, who are all recovering from thigh muscle tears, collarbone fractures, and shoulder muscle injuries.

The first One-Day International (ODI) between Zimbabwe and India will be played at Harare Sports Club on Thursday, followed by a sequel on Saturday. The final game is planned for the following Monday at the same stadium. All matches will begin at 9.15 a.m. in Harare.

Zimbabwe ODI Squad: Chakabva Regis (captain), Ryan Burl, Sikandar Raza, Tanaka Chivanga, Bradley Evans, Luke Jongwe, Innocent Kaia, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Clive Madande , Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani,  John Masara, Tony Munyonga,  Richard Ngarava,  Victor Nyauchi, Milton Shumba, Donald Tiripano.
