India registered their 13th ODI win vs Zimbabwe. This is their longest winning streak against any team in this format and their 3rd 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill took their time settling into their roles. Initially, Shikhar Dhawan took command as Gill played secondary role, but once Gill got his flow, Dhawan took a back seat. Both batters stayed unbeaten throughout their 80s, propelling their team to victory. These two hitters appear to be enjoying their roles as openers for the India as Regular Opener KL Rahul opted to play as Middle-order batsman. This was their third century opening stand in 4 games for Dhawan-Gill. In the process, Shikhar Dhawan crossed 6500 ODI runs. India secures a comfortable 10-wicket victory.
The first ODI between India and Zimbabwe was held at Harare.After winning the toss, opted to bowl. Skipper KL Rahul and Deepak Chahar made their comeback to ODI setup after recovering from injury. As mentioned in the toss, pitch assisted the Indian seamers didn't let the Zimbabwean Top order to score runs. Deepak Chahar's three wickets have shocked Zimbabwe's top order. Mohammed Siraj also picked the wicket of Veteran Sean Williams. Skipper Chakabva along with Sikandar Raza geared up the scoreboard but Indian bowlers didn’t let them settle. Raza departed for just 12. Deepak Chahar, Axar Patel, and Prasidh Krishna each took three wickets, making the best of their opportunities. Brad Evans and Richard Ngarava's record 70-run partnership for the 9 wicket but Indian bowlers restrict down to a less than par score. Zimbabwe all out for 189 in 40.3 Overs.
