IPL stage is already set on the fire and it has been beating the heat of summer in India. To everyone's surprise, EX-Champions are facing heavy damage and the minnows are giving stellar performances. That is true with the players too, stars are sliding down as shooting stars while few players have been proving that they were underestimated.

As the end mark of two weeks of IPL, let us frame the flop XI players of this season, so far.

Yashasvi Jaiswal :

Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals is not a stalwart, he does not even have an international cap yet and even his T20 format's figures are not that fancy. But all these facts did not stop Rajasthan to retain him for 4 crores, before the auction. It was just because of his notable performance in the previous season. At the same time, as he is just 21 now, Rajasthan considered him a long time investment too. But in this season, Jaiswal is yet to prove himself in the current scenario. In the three matches he had played so far, he was neither promising nor could create an impact and his average was miserably 8.33.

Mayank Agarwal :

Mayank Agarwal was made the captain of PBKS after his thunderbolt entertainment in the last season. He scored runs for fun as an explosive opener at an average of 40.09. In most of the matches, his partnership with KL Rahul was crucial and all those were match-winning knocks too. But this time, the debut captainship put on some pressure on his shoulder, additionally. Along with that, his short ball weakness is also preventing him to stay on the field for a quite long time. In the four matches, he played in this series, his average is shockingly 10.50.

Kane Williamson :

Fighting till the last as a guardian angel to save the game for his team was the mantra of Williamson. But this time, he is yet to play a remarkable innings. As the retained player, SRH is expecting captain knocks from him but it is yet to happen. The one who has the track record of 17 half-centuries in the IPL history, had hit only 50 runs, in the three matches. His strike rate is 79.37 which is the worst in his entire IPL career. Williamson is yet to raise in SRH.

Moeen Ali :

When Moeen Ali was brought into the CSK team in the previous season for 7 crores, many people misjudged him and did not anticipate him to be extraordinary. But last season, Moeen did pure magic, both with the bat and the ball. CSK had retained him for 8 lakhs just to put those things on the time loop, but the history is not repeated. CSK needs him not just as a batsman but as a bowler too. But unfortunately, he is yet to take a wicket in this current season and his economy of around 10, makes him unreliable.

Nitish Rana :

Rana is the young and raw Indian talent on whom KKR pinned its hope. As a middle-order batsman, he is expected to play the anchoring role, then accelerate the innings and take the team to the target was his routine. But this time, his average is not even 10 in four games. In the last 4 matches played by him, his highest score is only 21, which is predominantly poor. Even in the match against RCB, when the team needed him the most, he got out for 10.

Vijay Shankar :

Remembering his SRH days, one can easily recall and say how did Vijay Shankar fail to perform consistently in the last season. Gujarat had given chances to him in a couple of matches. In the first match against Lucknow, he scored only 4 runs. In the second match against DC, his bowling economy of 14 was greater than the runs scored by him. It was a brilliant and bold move by Pandya, to remove him from the playing 11, in the third match against Punjab.

Tim Seifert :

In the absence of Warner for the first two matches, Seifert was given an opportunity, but he failed to capitalise it. He added only 24 runs in the two matches. His splendid catch in the match against MI to send out Pollard is a only positive contribution and note for him in the current season so far. The entry of Warner put a question mark for his place.

Ravindra Jadeja :

After Mayank and Williamson, Jadeja is one more captain to fail in the show. Jadeja is known for his all rounding capabilities. He can bat and ascend the run rate at high speed, he can bowl and attack the batsmen of all sorts, and he can take some marvellous catches. These are the different facets of Jadeja. He used to be the live wire on the pitch. But in this season, after accepting the captainship crown, Jadeja's display has declined drastically. CSK paid 16 crores to retain him, but still in this season, he had not created any impact for the team. In 4 matches, he scored only 66 runs, even in the bowling department, he took only 1 wicket. Jadeja requires a big innings to be back on the track.

Daniel Sams :

In every season, there must be some overseas players, who will be expected to decorate the headlines through their groovy show. This time it is Daniel Sams. But it has not started favourably for him. Daniel has taken only one wicket in this tournament and his over against Cummins turned out to be a disaster for him. His current economy in this season is above 19, which makes people trademark him as a failure in Indian conditions. As the immediate effect of Cummins's attack on Daniel, he was dropped for the match against RCB,

Shardul Thakur :

Lord Thakur needs no introduction. CSK's loyal fans were very much upset when Thakur was not bought back by CSK. A bowler who can bat down the order can always be an asset to a team. That is the reason why that exclusion added pain to their wounds. But Thakur's performance so far in this season is not appreciable. He bowled one or two good overs in his spell, but overall it is not that appreciable. He had taken only one wicket in this tournament and his overall economy of 10.11.

Shivam Mavi :

KKR added Shivam Mavi to its squad by buying him for 7.25 crore to add some raw pace to its side. In his two encounters with the opposition, he went wicketless against CSK, with an economy of 8.8. Again after being benched for a match, he was brought back against Punjab when Mavi's bowling failed. In a couple of overs, his economy was shockingly 19.5 adding Rajapaksa as his only wicket.

This flop XI is representing the players who failed to give a kick start at the beginning of the tournament. As it progresses, like a see-saw, the stage may witness its new heroes from this list of flop XI even.

A flop list may be flipped in the gap of the Flip of a coin...
