New England team under Brendon mccullum and Ben stokes 

Brendon McCullum has taken over as the new head coach of the England Test team.  The question is whether the New England team, led by Ben Stokes, will move up from 6th to first place in the ICC Test rankings.  Let's see how the England team is going to face a strong New Zealand bowling unit.

Sweet gesture from England skipper 

Graham, a former England player and former England assistant coach, has been admitted to hospital due to poor health.  Praying that his health would be right, he comes to toss the jersey emblazoned with his name as Ben Stokes wears it.

James Anderson at his best 

James Anderson proves again and again that he is a legend in using the Dukes ball.  The wickets of Will Young and Latham were skillfully taken by James Anderson.  The ball bounced off the outside edge of both batsmen and into Bairstow's hands, who was in slip position.

3 in a row for Bairstow :

The opening batsmen went on and on as the game went on with the expectation that a better partnership would come from Captain Williamson and Conway.  But within a few minutes, Stuart took the wicket of Conway. Due to the pressure of dots, conway lost his concentration. A thick outside edge, ball straightly wents into Bairstow hands. Brilliant one handed catch and it's a three in row for Johnny Bairstow.

New Zealand skipper departs 

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson gives away his wicket off a ball thrown by Matty potts.  This time the catch was taken by the Wicketkeeper Ben Foakes.New Zealand stumbled after losing 4 wickets for just 12 runs in 9.5 overs. 

Two Small partnership comes to end by Potts

After losing the first four wickets a good 15 runs partnership came from Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell. But Matty Potts, who is in an urge, picks the wicket of Daryl. 

Then Blundell along with Colin de Grandhomme added up 9 runs. This time Potts again cleared the New Zealand hope by picking the wicket of Blundell. At the end of 22 overs, New Zealand now scored around 36 runs by losing the 6 wickets. They are in a critical stage so far.

James Anderson strikes again 

Colin de Grandhomme joins his hand with Kyle Jamieson. Short 9 run partnership came to an end by the brilliant bowling of James Anderson. He picks the wicket of Kyle Jamieson.

41 run partnership from Grandhomme and Southee

Grandhomme and Southee both understand the situation and they decide to play defensively. They both added the partnership around 41 runs. Sensible innings from Southee came to an end by James Anderson. The end of 31 overs New Zealand lost their 8th wicket with 86 runs on their board.

Extraordinary support from the tail enders

colin de Grandhomme who play brilliantly at the critical situation with the support from ajaz patel and trent boult scores the unbeaten 42* runs. From 86/8 New Zealand finished their first innings at 132/10. 46 runs came from the support of ajaz patel and trent boult along with colin de Grandhomme.

James Anderson and Matty potts completely dominated New Zealand in the first innings 

They both picked four wickets each. From the extraordinary bowling from them, New Zealand batters didn't stand too much in the pitch. It was only Colin de Grandhomme,who gave hope to New Zealand with his sensible innings.

1st innings: New Zealand 132/10

Brilliant opening partnership from England 

Alex lees and zack crawly brilliantly batted around 14 overs. They both at the opening partnership of 59 runs. Kyle Jamieson puts the end card to their partnership by picking the wicket of zak crawly.

Danger man ollie pope departs

In English conditions the danger man ollie pope who plays defensively against the New Zealand bowlers departs for just seven runs.kyle Jamieson picked his wicket. And more importantly England lost their second wicket.

Collapse from the middle order

When Joe Root comes to the strike, England scores  around 75-2. Alex lees who joined hands with root makes the third wicket partnership of 17 runs.colin de Grandhomme this time with his bowling picked the wicket of Joe root.

When Joe Root departed, England's score was 92-3. From 92 to 100 runs. England lost another  four wickets consecutively in between overs. Alex lees, skipper stokes, Bairstow and matty potts all departed in between just 5 overs.

All credits goes to tim Southee and Trent Boult. Southee picked the wicket of Alex Lees and skipper Stokes. On the other hand, Boult picked the wicket of Bairstow and Potts. At the end of 33 overs, England was heavily suffering with 100/7.

No party from the tail enders 

Foakes and Stuart Broad started to play defensively to boost up the score at the end. But Tim Southee picks them both and puts the extra pressure on England. The final wicket ( Parkinson) was picked by Trent boult. England's first Innings came to an end for 142-10 with a lead of 9 runs.

Zak crawley the only batsman who played decently like Colin de Grandhomme did his job in first innings.crawly scored 43 runs. For New Zealand it was Southee who picked 4 wickets and boult with 3 wickets in his hands.

James Anderson strikes again 

The New Zealand opener Will young departed for just one run. Jimmy who is again saying that he is best in handling duke's ball.

Poor from New Zealand skipper 

Latham and Williamson added up 25 runs for the second wicket partnership. It was Matty Potts who picked the wicket of Williamson in the first innings and again picked up his wicket. Williamson departs for just 15 runs.

England cornering New Zealand 

Matty Potts and Stuart Broad pick the wickets of Latham and conway. Now New Zealand is suffering with just 56 runs also with four wickets gone. They lead over England by just 46 runs. Here New Zealand batsmen have to make some big partnerships.

Mammoth partnership from Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell 

Mammoth partnership of 195 runs came from Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell for the fifth wicket. Mitchell who scored the brilliant century and scored a total 108 runs. Stuart Broad picked the much needed wicket wanted for England by clearing Daryl Mitchell.

Consecutive Collapse from New Zealand 

When Mitchell departed, the New Zealand scoreboard was 251/5. But it went to 251/7, after the two continuous balls.  The new strike batsman comes to the crease, who lost his wicket by run out. Then the new strike batsman Jameison poorly took his wicket to broad.
In the 84th over, 3 wickets went in the three balls. It was a team hat-trick for England.

Blundell lost his three figure mark by four runs 

Blundell lost his wicket to Jimmy Anderson. It was a clean LBW, there was no chance to survive.Blundell departed for 96 runs. A century was missed by just four runs.

New Zealand were restricted around 300 runs 

Potts and Parkinson picked the wickets of  patel and southee. England put the full stop for the 2nd innings of New Zealand. With the lead of 276 runs, now New Zealand Needs to bowl wisely against England.

Second innings : New Zealand 285/10

With the easy target of 277 runs England getting ready for the second innings..

Much needed Opening for England 

With the easy target in the hands England now to play defensively. England had two more days and 6 more sessions. So the target is to play sensibly.

England openers alex lees and zak crawly did they are job pretty decent. By adding the 30 runs partnership for the first wicket. It was kyle Jamieson who takes the first wicket for New Zealand. He picked the wicket of Alex lees. Soon after again he wicked the wicket of his partner Zak crawley. At the end of 12 overs now the scoreboard of England is 32/2.

Thunderbolt strikes this time 

Joe root joins his hand with the pope towards chasing the target. But it did not last long. Boult picked the wicket of pope.The Scoreboard of England is now 46/3

Jamieson on his urge 

Joe Root one batting brilliantly looks a threat to England. Johnny Bairstow suddenly gears up and smashed three boundaries. He was then fired by Jamieson. He was cleanly Bowled out by Jamieson. England now absorbing the pressure after losing the four wickets. By the end of 20 overs now the England score is 69/4.
