Momentum Multiply Titans batsman Neil Brand will captain the four-day team, while World Sports Betting wicket-keeper Kyle Verreynne will lead the 50-over team.
Along with teammate Western Province player David Bedingham, Verreynne is joined by Proteas batsman Tony de Zorzi and all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo, who has extensive international experience.
Both teams have included Western Province all-rounder Mihlali Mpongwana, who is currently leading the SA Emerging Men's team against Zimbabwe Emerging. Other players included in the squads are Titans batsman Dewald Brevis, Dafabet Warriors batter Matthew Breetzke, and DP World Lions pace duo Lutho Sipamla and Codi Yusuf.
Head coaches Shukri Conrad, who oversaw the tour, and Rob Walter, who oversees white-ball, chose the squads.
Both teams were chosen with an eye toward the future, taking into account players who might eventually contend for slots in the ODI and Test squads, as well as on the basis of impressive domestic achievements," said Conrad.
"Kyle has a fantastic opportunity on this tour. He proved he is a capable captain last season, when he captained Western Province to the domestic 50-over championship.
"Earlier this year, Neil led South Africa admirably throughout a two-match Test series against New Zealand. He demonstrates the essential traits of a leader and has the performance to support it.
Three one-day matches in Potchefstroom from August 31 to September 4 will kick off the tour. Two four-day matches in Kimberley from September 8 to September 11 and Benoni from September 15 to September 18 will follow.
After their June subcontinental match, Conrad expects the upcoming home tour between Sri Lanka A and South Africa's "A" to be quite competitive.
"I think the tour against Sri Lanka will be competitive, and we want to inculcate a winning mentality. They present a formidable foe, and although they are formidable at home, they keep getting better away from home. We anticipate a hotly contested series," Conrad said in closing.
