Shannon Gabriel, the West Indies fast bowler, has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 36-year-old pacer, who made his debut in 2012, has had a significant career, particularly in Test cricket where he claimed 166 wickets in 59 matches. Gabriel was known for his fiery pace and aggression, and his 13-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in 2018 stands out as one of his best performances.
Gabriel shared his decision on Instagram, expressing his gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his career. Although he is stepping away from the international stage, he plans to continue playing domestic cricket for Trinidad and Tobago, as well as participating in franchise leagues around the world
