Sri Lanka appoint Ian Bell as batting coach for England tour

Ian Bell has been appointed as Sri Lankas batting coach for the England tour.

Ian Bell, a former England batsman, was named by Sri Lanka Cricket as the team's "Batting Coach" for the current tour.
August 16 is when he will begin working with the team, and he will stay until the end of the

set of three test matches.

In 118 test matches, the former England batsman has amassed 7727 runs at an 42.69 on average.

He has amassed 22 centuries in test matches.

"We designated Ian to bring in a local expert to assist the players with crucial
information on the local conditions. Ian has performed extensively throughout England, and we think his contributions will benefit our group throughout this important tour," Mr. Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lankan Cricket.
