Rajasthan Royals have won the trophy for the first time since 2008, the year the IPL series began. The Rajasthan Royals team led by Shane Warne was a nightmare for all the teams that year. I have to say that the Rajasthan Royals, who played so well that year, played badly after that. The team won the championship in the first year of the IPL series and has not advanced to any final since then. The team qualified for the play-off round only three times in total from 2009 to 2021.

Many star players like Sanju Samson, Ajinkya Rahane, Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, David Miller, etc.., have been on the Rajasthan Royals squad for the past few years. Despite so many great players there was something in that room that had been lacking in recent years. Only in 2018 did the team qualify for the play-off round but Rajasthan Royals didn't take the advantage of that opportunity.  Over the last four years, the team's success rate has been below 50 percent.

But in an ongoing IPL Series Rajasthan Royals team is currently enjoying a moment that they have been suffering for so many years. The Rajasthan Royals are playing very aggressively in the current IPL series. I just want to say that this year the team is beating other teams to an extent that has not been seen in previous years.

Over the past few years the team has been keeping fans very excited on social websites. Has been uploading posts to suit the mood of the fans. Rajasthan Royals wear pink jersey during a match in the 2018 IPL series to raise awareness about cancer. It creates a huge reception among the fans. Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan is popularly known as the 'Pink City'.

The Rajasthan Royals' jersey colour has been changed to pink since the start of the 2019 IPL series. Also the management said, "We call Jaipur the Pink City as well as the Jodhpur famous for the pink stones, Udaipur produces pink marbles. So on that basis that this would be the right choice. The management also said that the pink jersey will be officially recognised as the jersey of the Rajasthan Royals team.

Coming to this year's IPL the management plan was very clean and crystal clear. Jake Lush McCrum, CEO of Rajasthan Royals recently said that a few things went as planned. We paid a lot of attention to the spin ball range in the mega auction.  We captured Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal as planned.

Similarly, we tried to build core Indian players as much as possible. So everything is taken care of among the Rajasthan team Royals team management. The Rajasthan Royals CEO had said that he had not only picked players for this year but also kept in mind the best players to play for the Rajasthan Royals in the next 3 to 4 years. In all respects the Rajasthan Royals team has excelled this year.

The team currently has openers Jos Buttler, Padikkal and Jaiswal. There are two great young opening players who play alongside Buttler. There is a star squad to play in the middle overs. Captain Sanju Samson, Karun Nair, Rassie van der dussen and Daryl Mitchell are there. Shimron Hetmyer will oversee the finishing work for the Rajasthan Royals. All-rounders include Riyan Parag, James Neesham and Nathan Coulter Nile. Among the spin bowlers, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal are the two pillars. The fast bowlers are Trent Bolt, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy and Navdeep Saini. In addition to the above mentioned players, there are many more talented young players.

In the ongoing IPL series the Rajasthan royals team squad unit is perfectly well balanced. They had a lot of variety to showcase. Under the good leadership from Sanju Samson Rajasthan royals is just glittering. From 2013 Sanju Samson played for the Rajasthan royals. In between he played for Delhi in 2016 and 2017, where Rajasthan royals eliminated from the IPL series in those 2 years. Because of his consistent performance and loyalty Rajasthan Royals management gave him the captaincy role in 2021.

And I still remember his speech in last year's IPL. "He said that his goal is to win the championship, but we had to concentrate on the preparation and process. We are going to finish this series again in the 8th position, it's ok. But we have to play full out. I want full commitment from each and every one. Sanju Samson is the perfect example for the leader, how he should motivate his team members. His calmness and his support towards every player is the biggest key that is paying the different result now".

Out of 6 matches played till now, Rajasthan royals managed to win in the four matches. They just need another 4 match victory to reach the playoffs. Not to forget under the guidance from the legendary players like Sangakkara & Lasith Malinga and also the good captain Sanju Samson, Rajasthan royals are in the driver seat towards the championship race. Success is not something that can be achieved overnight, it can take a lot of time. And I think the time has now come for Rajasthan royals. Absolutely, there should be no wonder even if they win the IPL trophy this year.
